Buses Built to Protect Lives
Our engineering team design our buses to protect your passengers’ lives with key features that make our buses the safest in the industry. Everybody may claim that accolade, but we’ve got the details to back up our claim to the title.
Floor
Our floor strength is double the industry standard. The floor cross members on our buses are designed with 50,000 PSI high-tensile strength, low-alloy steel. Any structure is as good as its foundation, and our solid foundation will help protect your passengers.
Rear Wall
We build the rear wall so it’s mounted at least 3” below the floor and contains a crash rail—just like the side walls. The difference is in the radial design. In the event of a collision, the rear wall acts as a “stop” and transfers the energy from the impact into the side walls instead of shearing.
Steel Roll Cage
We extend the roll cage over the driver, believing that everyone on the bus should have the same amount of protection. You may notice our buses are a little bulkier because of this extra feature, but we think going above industry requirements should be standard if it keeps everyone in the vehicle safe.
Seats
Our seats are bolted to the floor and wall—resulting in greater strength and better protection. By bolting to both the floor and wall, we create a protective gusset. Because we believe in providing the greatest amount of safety to your passengers, we’ve eliminated the potential safety hazard of adjustable track seats that can be secured improperly, which could lead to an injury.
Side Walls
Our sidewalls go at least 3” below the floor—which means greater structural strength and more protection for your passengers. This keeps the bus’s walls from sliding across the floor if impacted. Instead, the entire bus will move sideways. Dropping the side walls below the floor adds much greater strength to the structure and offers greater protection for your passengers. The side walls also contain a piece of high-strength steel we call a crash rail to absorb the impact of a side collision.
